This week’s post is about my recent experience with MOO Printing Service.

Business Cards, MiniCards, Postcards and more

I was in need of some new business cards and thought I’d take the opportunity to do something a little different since the old cards were getting a bit tired. I had seen some smaller format business cards recently that I quite liked and after some surfing around I settled on the MOO Mini Cards.

Before I get into my review of the product here is a bit about MOO from their website:

“MOO is a new kind of printing business.
There are now more than a billion people online. Most of us use the internet to engage in some kind of social activity, and in doing so we help generate over 4 petabytes of unique virtual content a month (thats the equivalent of 60 million iphones full of data.)
We have virtual communication like email, instant message or video. We belong to virtual communities like social networks, image sharing or interest groups, and in these communities we have created virtual identities like homepages, avatars and blogs.
But sometimes life can be a little too virtual. MOO dreams up new tools that help people turn their virtual content into beautiful print products.  MOO’s ‘Printfinity‘ technology allows every card or sticker in a pack to carry a different image.

With MOO, every one is different”

Now onto the review!

I chose MOO primarily because of 3 things:

  1. They offer the ability to upload your own artwork at no additional charge (some other sites charge a fee to use your own art).
  2. Art work 2 sides at no additional charge.
  3. Price. at $19.99 for 100 cards that works out to roughly 19 cents a card. I felt that was reasonable.

I am a big fan of ordering online. MOO’s U/I (user interface) is intuitive and very easy to use.

If you’re not into designing your own artwork that is no problem. MOO offers some very good options for you to customize your cards to suit your needs. Again and no additional charge!

MOO also offers a variety of card holders. I purchased the click/slide acrylic plastic card holder in Orange. Why??? Well mostly because of the cool video that they put together (I’m a sucker for marketing).

You can see the video here: MOO Click, Slide, Minicard Holder

Print quality is very good. This of course is dependent on the quality of the original artwork file but they offer instructions as well as downloadable templates to assist in obtaining the best quality.

The unveiling!

Here are some shots of the cards as I received them from MOO:

The cards were shipped in a bubble envelope and as you can see they are cutely packaged. The box that cards comes in is very sturdy and serves as a display for the cards as well.

All in all I am very pleased with both the service and the product that I received from MOO and I will use them again in the future.

If you want to have a look at what MOO has to offer click the logo in the sidebar.

Also, the folks at MOO were kind enough to give me a few discount coupon codes!

The first three people to email me at qanda@sjr-photo.com get the codes. These are first come first serve so don’t delay!

Thanks for reading!
